MatchMove Games’ inaugural Bejeweled 2 Tournament on Saturday, the 11th of December pitted the best players in Singapore against each other. Players across the nation gathered bright and early in the morning at GameHaven, for one of the most intense competitions in the casual gaming scene.

Chong Yong Kiong, holder of the amazing record of 1,099,500 on [www.MatchMove Gamesgames.com](http://www.MatchMove Gamesgames.com/) was among the many players vying for the Grand Prize of $1000 SGD. Recognizing him as the Bejeweled 2 record holder, most of the other players were initially intimidated but quickly made friends due to the friendly competition that each offered the others.

The entire venue was abuzz with activity: Players were all in a flurry as the clock ticked towards the end of their session, busily swapping gems around in an attempt to rack up their points.

Their supporters also participated in the various side activities of the day. The search for the Best Cheerleader and the Best Dressed Individual turned up fantastic entries that wowed both the audience and judges alike. Daniel Oliven Lo was a ball of energy, constantly entertaining the crowd with his quirky raps, and Chloe Chong dazzled everyone with her rainbow-colored dress with matching bling. Both of them won awesome cash prizes of $100 each!

NUS undergraduate Lisa Tan, the eventual winner of the Bejeweled 2 Tournament, was a figure of intense concentration as she played. And to her credit, jewels were exploding everywhere on her screen. Surprised with her results, she revealed that she “didn’t expect to win the entire competition”, because she played Bejeweled on MatchMove Games mainly for leisure purposes.

MatchMove Games thanks all participants and supporters for their contribution to this tournament’s success. We hope that all of you will join us for all future events. But for now, keep practicing on [MatchMove Games](http://www.MatchMove Gamesgames.com/)!
